Are You Interested in Learning the Enneagram?
Previously only taught on the inside of prisons and jails, EPP’s compassionate curriculum has now been introduced to more than 1,500 people around the globe through two virtual programs, 9PrisonsONEKey (9P1K) and Path to Freedom (PtF).
The prerequisites for applying to EPP's Guide Training Program (GTP) are comprised of the following programs:
9PrisonsOneKey (9P1K) is EPP's comprehensive, foundational approach to the Enneagram, which is offered virtually to participants around the globe. Facilitated exclusively by EPP Guides, 9P1K helps illuminate the ways we all suffer our personalities in prisons of our own making, with the choice to discover and accept the key to our own path to freedom.

THP Instincts & Triads is an experiential curriculum that invites us into a deeper sense of belonging to self and others, while also introducing practical skills for cultivating wholeness through an exploration of typing and instincts. Beginning in 2025, Instincts & Triads will become the third prerequisite to GTP. Current GTP prospects are strongly encouraged to take Instincts & Triads before applying to GTP.
Note: Completion of 9P1K program is a prerequisite for the Instincts & Triads course. |
Guide Training Program (GTP) is a 68.5-hour 2 part robust and flexible training process to cultivate proficiencies in aspiring guides. We want to both support you, and be assured of your capacity to effectively and compassionately guide our students in jails and prisons with a co-guide, while simultaneously staying present to yourself. While the Guide Training Program (GTP) itself is relatively straight forward, the pathway to apprenticing and demonstrating competency as a Guide is unique to each individual
Part One: Is a virtual course in the foundations of guiding. Part Two: Is an in-person practicum. Note: Completion of the following courses is a prerequisite for GTP: 9P1K, PtF, Instinct & Traids |
Beginning in 2024, 9P1K and PtF will be offered in partnership with The Human Potentialists (THP). THP is a benefit corporation founded by Susan Olesek with a vision to democratize the Enneagram for the greatest human good. Both 9P1K and PtF are led by EPP Guides and Ambassadors who are also THP trained guide practitioners. Together these courses provide the foundation for those who wish to apply to EPP’s Guide Training Program.

MORE ABOUT EPP AND THP
Why is EPP partnering with The Human Potentialists?
Built upon a shared set of values with the Enneagram Prison Project (EPP), The Human Potentialists (THP) was established to democratize the Enneagram and bring EPP’s compassionate approach to learning the Enneagram to all people, everywhere.
EPP and THP Founder Susan Olesek shares, “THP is an expression of what I learned in prison, which is that we are all in a prison of our own making in the way that we suffer our personalities. THP is the bridge, bringing this work from the inside out."
The Human Potentialists provides a permanent and sustainable home for EPP’s public-facing training program, which allows EPP to focus resources on sustaining and growing in-custody programming to reach every prison and jail in the world.
What are the training requirements if I want to be an EPP Guide?
9PrisonsONEKey and Path to Freedom continue to be prerequisites for those who wish to apply to EPP’s Guide Training Program. Together these two courses allow those interested in becoming an EPP Guide the opportunity to first be students themselves of EPP’s compassionate curriculum.
