Jeanette Maggio
Jeanette Maggio
Jeanette has a background is HR, Change Leadership and Organizational and Leadership
Development. She was the Head of HR for the Pharmaceutical Division of McKesson. Jeanette moved to Roche/Genentech and worked in HR, heading up change leadership and executive development for the Global Quality and Compliance organization and then was Head of Organizational Development/Executive Development for the Technical Operations division of Roche/Genentech which employed about 10,000 people. One of the tools we utilized for our Executive Development program was the Enneagram. "My team and I typed and taught the Enneagram to over 700 leaders in the organization." Jeanette left Roche/Genentech about 2.5 years ago and have her own coaching and consulting business specializing in executive coaching, team development and teaching the Enneagram. |
"The reason I feel so connected to this work is because if we can help leaders become more conscious of their “humanness” it can impact hundreds if not thousands of lives. If our leaders make each person they touch more compassionate, more aware of their own abilities the cascade effect is enormous. My broad and extensive experience in teaching the Enneagram to both large and small audiences and background in development will enable me to contribute to the EPP mission in a meaningful way."
Why EPP?
"There are many reasons why I am interested in becoming a certified EPP guide. There are two key reasons besides all the glowing feedback I’ve heard from my colleagues. One is ideological, one more personal. From an ideological perspective I am very concerned about the lack of reform of the criminal justice system. In the current political climate there doesn’t seem to be a focus on providing support and resources to incarcerated populations. I believe incarcerating large groups of people without providing education and resources for growth and rehabilitation is non- productive at best, irresponsible at worst. Last year I attended the Hoffman Institute and their key tenet that is the only way to break the cycle of violence and abuse is to disrupt the passing down of generational behavioral patterns. In order to accomplish this, we need to identify and understand our patterns, how they create our worldview and ways to change the patterns that are not serving us and create new ones. I am excited to bring the Enneagram to the EPP participants because I believe it is one of the best tools to identify patterns and motivations and create development pathways to overcome those patterns that no longer serve us."

Susan Olesek
Susan Olesek - EPP Founder
Born outside of Boston, Susan spent her formative years in Asia with occasional forays into places of extreme suffering like The Walled City of Hong Kong and the streets of Bombay. These experiences made deep impressions on her Enneagram Type 1, ideological heart. By the time she entered Occidental College to study sociology, Susan’s resolve to somehow make a contribution to the world was embedded in who she was becoming.
|
This determination percolated while she raised three boys and began to study the Enneagram, a process that took her deeply into herself and a life changing trauma suffered in her own childhood when her mother took her own life.
In 2009, Susan emerged hopeful and certified, full of ideals, and with just enough self-belief to accept the challenging invitation to teach the Enneagram to 100 inmates in a little prison outside of Houston, Texas. This decision changed the trajectory of her personal and professional life, forever. With a burgeoning career that moved her from HR to teaching this fascinating system to “any and every one brave enough to admit to having a personality,” Susan delights in the unknown yet vast unfolding of the Enneagram Prison Project. A project with a mission that is now growing her, and the lives of anyone it seems to touch.

It also helps me to explore with compassion what is coming up for participants, and with them transform those experiences into beauty."
