We are all implicated when we allow other people to be mistreated. An absence of compassion can corrupt the decency of a community, a state, a nation….The closer we get to mass incarceration and extreme levels of punishment, the more I believe it’s necessary to recognize that we all need mercy, we all need justice, and-perhaps-we all need some measure of unmerited grace.Bryan Stevenson, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption
Five years after EPP was founded, we now have an established, replicable curriculum, training program and framework from which to begin moving this program beyond California as we scale it worldwide. Our intention has always been to bring the Enneagram to every jail and prison in the country and in the world one person, one prison at a time. Minnesota puts EPP on the map as the first U.S. chapter to join our visionary effort.
If you would like to see EPP programming in jails and prisons local to you, please contact EPP [email protected].
Meeting the EPP family has landed me among like-minded individuals that believe in the resiliency of human potential to return to our best self. Putting my compassion into action with EPP is an honor and privilege.
Susan Olesek and her team embody presence, passion, and purpose as they radiate enthusiasm for the EPP. The exceptional results EPP is having in changing lives and supporting individuals in transition and transformation is exceptional. I am thrilled to welcome the first Chapter of the EPP to Minnesota. This new EPP Chapter will impact our community in a powerful way.
The integrity and commitment of the EPP to offer the transformational tool of the Enneagram to a population that will be returning neighbors and community members makes my heart soar!
The Enneagram Prison Project is a fabulous example of how the Enneagram can be taken into the world to significantly transform lives and contribute to the well-being and advancement of society. My personal congratulations and thanks to all those involved in helping us all see the possibilities for change contained within the Enneagram system.
I’m thrilled to have EPP’s Enneagram program here in Minnesota. As someone who has taught the Enneagram in prison, I know the impact it can have. EPP’s classes include dealing with childhood trauma and addiction as well as teaching the Enneagram. I think this is one reason why EPP is having such a positive impact on people’s lives. The other reason is clear if you spend time with any of the EPP folks: they have a deep respect and love all those they teach and work with.

Scaling a vision of this epic proportion requires a passionate, like-minded community, one which we have found in Minnesota. Supported by the largest International Enneagram Association (IEA) community in the country – IEA MN – EPP Minnesota is surrounded by people who are naturally aligned with our vision, freeing people – all over the world – from the prisons of our own making.
